Increase in tourism revenues in September

Based on the results of the Passengers Survey , for September 2013, revenue from tourism reached € 353,4 mn compared to € 289,9 mn in the corresponding month last year .
 
For August, an increase of 12,0 % was recorded in tourist revenues , compared with the corresponding month of the previous year . Revenues from tourism month in August 2013 amounted to € 349,5 mn compared to € 312,1 mn in the corresponding month of 2012.
 
For the period February - September 2013, tourism revenues amounted to € 1.712,5 mn compared to € 1.581,7 mn in the corresponding period of 2012.
 
The highest per capita expenditure for September recorded by tourists from Belgium with € 1.263,9, followed by tourists from Russia to € 1.163,7, Switzerland with € 1.040,2, the Netherlands with € 1.031,7 and the United Kingdom € 1.019,7.
