Interest of foreign investors in Cyprus

As announced CIPA, a delegation of the Organization, consisting of the Chairman of Christodoulos E. Angastiniotis and general manager Thanks Papacharalambous participated in the «Cyprus Economic & Investment Summit», held in Moscow on 10 December.

 

During the conference, Finance Minister Haris Georgiadis briefed the delegates on the positive reviews recently taken the Cypriot economy, analyzed the situation as it stands lately and answered participants' questions. Meanwhile, CIPA and other Cypriot organizations, showed the advantages accruing to the Cyprus as an investment destination, and the prospects of the economy in various sectors, including banking.

 

According to the announcement, several private meetings with entrepreneurs, executives of large companies and Russians who participated in the conference on issues relating to the current situation in Cyprus and the country's prospects. The participants showed keen interest in collecting information on Cyprus and its investment environment, and as noted in the announcement, the conference was attended by the Ambassador of Cyprus to Russia George Casoulides.

 

The CIPA also participated in the "7th Global Residence & Citizenship Conference» which took place in the U.S., the weekend 21-22 November.In addition to the comparative advantages of Cyprus, the representative of the Agency Lefteris Eleftheriou S. presented the options offered by the Cypriot legislation on citizenship programs, and the program permanent residence permit which is particularly popular among foreign investors.

 

The conference was attended by representatives of international and government agencies, professionals and entrepreneurs, lawyers who specialize in immigration and academics from American universities.

 

Moreover, strains of CIPA and recently participated in international business conferences «China Overseas Investment Fair» and «Luxury Showcase Properties» (LPS), which took place in Beijing and Shanghai respectively. The first meeting was attended by distinguished Chinese businessmen from various sectors of the Chinese economy that are interested in investing abroad, while the second involved international real estate agencies.

At both conferences the CIPA presented the comparative advantages of Cyprus and programs citizenship and permanent residence permit offered by our country, and as the press release concludes, visitors showed particular interest for both programs.
