Cypriot citizenship to foreign investors who underwent a cut of their deposits
Nicosia: The discretionary grant of Cypriot citizenship to dozens of foreign investors as well as to members of their families, with the haircut of their deposits from banks, popular and Cyprus, goes home.
Only last week, the Cabinet approved the exceptionally naturalization six Russian nationals whose deposits in Bank of Cyprus or in popular or both together have impaired/sheared of at least € 3 million, as generated by the measures implemented after the Gioyrogkroyp meeting last March.
The Government recently adopted specific Anastasiadi measure, in an effort to keep the Cyprus foreign investors who lost their money in Cypriot banks. Stressing that the citizenship automatically granted to spouses and children of those foreign depositors.

Because detected several cases of depositors who have been mowing down of € 3 million, the Cabinet gives them the right to claim the Cyprus citizenship covering the rest of the required amount with additional investment or contribution to a State Fund.
The Interior Ministry made efforts to streamline the process of submission of relevant applications and to reduce the waiting time for examination. In this way, as estimated, will be supplanted the middlemen and the various circuits that the system itself has created, which charge thousands of euros as ' services ' facilities for promotion of such requests.
