Without towers, the "Larnaka of tomorrow"

Larnaka Municipality was pleased by the absence of towers from the huge project "Larnaca Land of Tomorrow", planned by the Petrolina Group in the area from where the oil and LPG facilities were moved.
The presentation of the project took place on Monday by the renowned architectural house Foster + Partners, which used a strictly ecological approach for its design, with green and low buildings having the first say.
Larnaka Municipality, through an announcement, said that the design approach of the project is in line with its broader vision for an area with low buildings, free public spaces, visual escapes and lots of greenery.
As noted, Petrolina's master plan is an important development for the region, which seeks the unified treatment and consolidation of plots, which is also an important provision in the overall strategy of the Area Plan.
The "Land of Tomorrow" is expected to be one of the largest private developments ever undertaken in Cyprus and will be located in an area of 400,000 square meters. 8,000 residences, offices and dining areas will be created in the area, with access to the beach being unhindered for the public.
The first applications to the Department of Town Planning will be submitted next May, while by the end of the month the Seveso directive is expected to be terminated by the entire region.
This will in fact trigger the official start of development in the region, where new universities are planned to be established.
